Send event reminders by text

What's new

You can now schedule automatic text reminders for your events, alongside the existing email reminders. Set up to five text reminders per event to send hours, days, or weeks before the event start time, directly from the event's Autoresponses tab.

No more saved filters and scheduled blasts for every event. Configure once, and reminders go out to everyone who RSVPs.

Highlights

• Up to 5 text reminders per event, on top of 5 email reminders.
• Schedule by hours, days, or weeks before the event.
• Choose the broadcaster that sends the reminder. Only broadcasters with a phone number attached are eligible.
• Default SMS template at the theme level so all events start from your standard message.
• Available on calendar pages for user-submitted events.

Availability

• US, UK and Canada: available with a texting plan and (for US) a completed 10DLC registration.
• Customers without texting see only email reminders.

Billing

• Standard plans: if a scheduled reminder would exceed your available credits, your texting plan auto-upgrades to the next tier when it sends.
• Enterprise, network, and alliance plans: sending is never blocked. Overages are invoiced retrospectively by the Sales team.
• All plans: You'll receive a billing warning email 24 hours before any reminder that may trigger an upgrade.

Things to know

• Plan downgrades or removing the texting add-on will cancel any scheduled text reminders.
• Text and email reminders share the same queue as your text blasts. To avoid delays, use a dedicated broadcaster and phone number for reminders.
• Recipients without a textable mobile number on file are skipped and don't count against your credits.
